Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead procurement and cost estimation across designed hard bid, CM@R, and design/build projects. The role requires managing scopes with trade partners and assembling data into accurate bids or estimates.

The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of large commercial construction experience, proficiency in ProjectSight, Primavera, Excel, and Autodesk tools, plus strong communication skills and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in civil/structural engineering or construction management or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years’ experience on large commercial construction projects.
• Proficient with Excel-based templates, ProjectSight, Primavera and Autodesk tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
• Experience with design/bid/build, CM@R, and design/build procurement.
• Ability to write bid packages and subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies and bid packages.
• Maintain trade partner relationships and manage risk.
• Lead estimators on project procurements and cost controls.
• Convert estimates into project financial reporting and cost tracking.
• Maintain pricing data and communicate scope to clients.
