Job summary

McShane Construction Company in Auburn, AL is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid development for commercial and industrial projects. You’ll analyze drawings, prepare detailed estimates, and collaborate with project management, marketing, vendors, and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.

In this in-office role, you’ll leverage estimating software and the MS Office suite while supporting preconstruction efforts and bid analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with teams and vendors.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bid specifications and drawings to prepare detailed project estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Collaborate with project management and marketing teams on proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary project schedules.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings to define project scope and requirements.
• Assist with purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects.
