Job summary

Top Talent Recruiter is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator in Montgomery, AL to develop accurate, competitive estimates from concept through completion. The role requires strong cost analysis and familiarity with reading drawings and specifications.

Qualifications

5–10 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project expenses.
Perform quantity takeoffs and solicit competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
Identify potential cost savings, project risks, and scope discrepancies.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors throughout the bidding process.
Prepare bid proposals, maintain estimating records, and ensure timely submission of bids.
Monitor material pricing, labor costs, and market trends to maintain accurate estimates.
