Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation is seeking a Senior Estimator – Concrete/Civil to support preconstruction and estimating for large-scale heavy industrial, civil, and commercial projects. Based in Auburn Hills, you will join the Preconstruction team and lead bid efforts.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in estimating, expertise in self-perform concrete operations, and experience with heavy-industrial settings.

Qualifications

7+ years estimating experience in industrial, heavy commercial, civil, or concrete construction.
Experience with self-perform construction operations is highly preferred.
Proven experience estimating heavy industrial and structural concrete projects.
Experience working for a General Contractor on complex projects is preferred.
Proficiency with estimating software and cost databases.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, temporary facilities, and project general conditions.
Develop accurate time-and-material estimates as required.
Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare cost summary sheets.
Input quantities and pricing into estimating software platforms.
Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to ensure project scope is understood.
Analyze heavy industrial, civil, and structural concrete projects from concept to bid.
Include value-engineering opportunities on every project estimate.
Coordinate turnover of awarded projects to Project Management teams.
Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks.
Support client engagement and business development within the Concrete/Civil segment.
Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating tools and standards.
