Job summary

Commercial Contracting Corporation is seeking a Senior Estimator – Concrete/Civil to support preconstruction and estimating for large-scale heavy industrial, civil, and commercial projects. Based in Auburn Hills, you will join the Preconstruction team and lead bid efforts.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in estimating, expertise in self-perform concrete operations, and experience with heavy-industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 7+ years estimating experience in industrial, heavy commercial, civil, or concrete construction.
• Experience with self-perform construction operations is highly preferred.
• Proven experience estimating heavy industrial and structural concrete projects.
• Experience working for a General Contractor on complex projects is preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, temporary facilities, and project general conditions.
• Develop accurate time-and-material estimates as required.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare cost summary sheets.
• Input quantities and pricing into estimating software platforms.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to ensure project scope is understood.
• Analyze heavy industrial, civil, and structural concrete projects from concept to bid.
• Include value-engineering opportunities on every project estimate.
• Coordinate turnover of awarded projects to Project Management teams.
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks.
• Support client engagement and business development within the Concrete/Civil segment.
• Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating tools and standards.
