Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead bid efforts for commercial and industrial projects. You will analyze drawings, prepare estimates, and collaborate with preconstruction and project teams to win contracts.

Based in-office with opportunities to engage vendors, manage schedules, and participate in pre-bid activities. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is required.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner with vendors and teammates.
• Experience using estimating software or willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bid specifications and drawings to prepare detailed project estimates for time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Collaborate with project management and marketing teams on proposals, bid analysis, constructability reviews, and preliminary schedules.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings to define project scope and requirements.
• Assist with purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects.

Responsibilities:
