Job summary

LeoForce in Mount Airy, MD is seeking a dedicated Electrical Estimator to join our commercial construction team. You will prepare electrical estimates, perform take-offs, and ensure NEC compliance across diverse projects.

You will collaborate with project managers to plan, schedule, and monitor bids, review changes, and communicate risks promptly. A Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering plus at least 2 years’ experience is preferred. This role offers growth and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of electrical estimating experience for commercial construction.
• Proficient in NEC and relevant codes.
• Experience in project management and familiarity with tools.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and materials.
• Proficient in take-off and bid preparation.
• Experience managing change orders and communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial projects.
• Perform electrical take-offs and develop bid packages.
• Utilize NEC knowledge to ensure compliance in all projects.
• Manage change orders and communicate changes or risks promptly.
• Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with the project management team to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Regularly review estimates with material and labor changes.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations.
