Job summary

The Boldt Company in Appleton, WI is seeking an Estimator III to help project teams plan, price, and deliver work across power generation and heavy industrial sectors. You will develop reliable estimates, coordinate internal and external resources, and support profitability.

Responsibilities include leading detailed and conceptual estimating, reviewing drawings, preparing bid documents, and collaborating with owners, trade partners, and design partners to inform decisions and drive project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
• Five to eight years of estimating experience on large power generation or heavy industrial projects.
• Knowledge of estimating processes including labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies.
• Experience with detailed and conceptual estimates and cost models.
• Experience with negotiated GMP and lump-sum/hard bid methods.
• Understanding of MasterFormat and Uniformat coding.
• Proficiency with Excel, estimating software, takeoff software, and scheduling tools.
• Ability to collaborate with project teams, owners, and partners.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support detailed and conceptual estimating efforts; review drawings and specifications; prepare bid documents; participate in estimate presentations; manage bid solicitation; evaluate proposals; collaborate with project teams, trade partners, owners, and design partners; contribute to target value design, risk and opportunity reviews, cost modeling, and the transition of estimate information to project teams.
