Job summary

Snelson Companies, Inc. invites a Senior Estimator to join our team in Ceres, CA. You will develop detailed cost estimates for high-value oil and gas pipeline and midstream projects, lead bid strategy, and coordinate with subcontractors to optimize costs.

Strong proficiency in HeavyBid, Takeoff tools, and scheduling software is required. You will analyze engineering drawings, maintain unit price databases, and participate in bid reviews to ensure accurate, defendable proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of estimating experience for oil and gas pipeline projects, midstream facilities, or related infrastructure.
• Proficiency in HeavyBid, Excel-based estimating tools, Autodesk Takeoff, or similar platforms.
• Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project) is a plus.
• Ability to read P&IDs, isometric drawings, alignment sheets, and construction plans.
• Knowledge of contract types and procurement strategies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates over $10M without supervision for natural gas pipeline and facility projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scopes to develop bid proposals.
• Utilize estimating software and historical data to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain unit price databases and benchmarks for pipelines and facilities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain vendor pricing and optimize costs.
• Support bid submissions with cost breakdowns and clarifications and assist in negotiations.
