Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking a seasoned Lead Estimator for its New York City team to own projects from early budgeting through GMP and subcontractor buyout. You will work with clients, architects, engineers, and trade partners to drive accurate estimates and competitive bids.

The role requires 8–15+ years in estimating/preconstruction with NYC contractor experience, and a proven ability to manage complex ground-up and interior projects across sectors such as commercial and residential.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of estimating/preconstruction experience in construction.
• Experience with NYC General Contractor or Construction Manager verticals.
• Proven track record on ground-up and complex interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of NYC subcontractor market, costs and procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating and preconstruction for ground-up and interior projects.
• Develop conceptual to detailed construction estimates and GMPs.
• Prepare budgets, bid packages, take-offs and cost plans.
• Analyze drawings and specs to determine scope and pricing.
• Lead subcontractor outreach, bids and scope reviews.
• Collaborate with operations on logistics, scheduling, and constructability.
