Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end estimating process for projects from $1M to $20M.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Owners, Developers, and Architects.
  • Leverage NYC subcontractor market knowledge for reliable trade coverage.
  • Provide transparent, open-book budgeting and value-engineering solutions.
  • Partner with estimating team to maintain accuracy and project intake.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Ownership: Manage the end-to-end estimating process for a diverse portfolio of corporate interior renovations and asset modernization projects ranging from $1M to $20M.
  • Stakeholder Partnerships: Act as a key point of contact for Owners, Developers, and Architects, providing the technical precision and cost-certainty necessary to move projects from design to construction.
  • Market Integration: Leverage your knowledge of the NYC subcontractor market to secure reliable trade coverage and provide realistic cost feedback.
  • Collaborative Delivery: Work closely with repeat customers and project stakeholders, providing transparent, open-book budgeting and practical value-engineering solutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with an established estimating team of six to maintain high standards of accuracy and support the firm’s steady project intake.

Qualifications

  • NYC Interior Expertise: 7+ years of Estimating experience with a NYC-based General Contractor or Construction Management firm, with a specific focus on Corporate Interiors.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to communicate effectively with architects, developers, and ownership groups to resolve constructability and budget alignment issues.
  • Delivery Method Versatility: A deep understanding of both GC (Lump Sum) and CM (Guaranteed Maximum Price) delivery methods.
  • Technology Proficiency: Expert command of BuildingConnected for bid management. Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, and modern estimating software platforms is required to manage high-volume bidding cycles.
