Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) is seeking a Mission Critical Senior Estimator to lead pre-construction cost estimates for complex electrical projects, including datacenters.

This role provides strategic oversight on estimating methodologies, risk, bid development, and team leadership. You will mentor estimators, review subcontractor pricing, and collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or extensive construction estimating experience.
• Extensive experience in estimating large, complex electrical projects with risk assessment.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of estimating teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive quantity take-offs, pricing, labor, equipment, and indirect costs for complex electrical projects.
• Set estimating strategies, bid approaches, and risk assessments.
• Review plans, contracts, and bid documents to define scope and assumptions.
• Oversee estimation accuracy and approve estimates from other estimators.
• Manage proposal deliverables and maintain audit-ready documentation.
• Lead proposal efforts from evaluation through submission and transition to operations.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and executives.
