Job summary

Intermountain Electric, Inc. (IME) seeks a senior estimator to lead pre-construction efforts for mission critical and datacenter electrical projects.

You will develop, review, and validate complex cost estimates, guide estimating methodology, assess risk, and drive bid development while aligning with company objectives and market conditions. You will manage and mentor an estimating team, collaborate with project management, engineering, and leadership, and ensure compliant, audit-ready

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the construction industry with significant electrical estimating responsibilities.
• Experience bidding large, complex projects (10MW-250MW+).
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in a related field or shown experience.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of estimating teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and validation of comprehensive quantity take-offs, pricing, labor, equipment, and indirect costs.
• Establish estimating strategies, bid approaches, and risk assessment.
• Review plans, specs, contracts, and bid documents to define scope and requirements.
• Lead estimate reviews and bid strategy discussions with project teams.
• Mentor and develop estimators; manage multiple bids and priorities.
