Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Estimator in Henderson, NV to lead full-cycle capital cost estimates for surface mining projects. You will develop estimates from concept through definitive stages, aligning with engineering, procurement and construction teams to deliver timely, benchmarked results.

The role requires strong Excel skills and experience in multi-disciplinary estimating. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain unit-rate databases, and support change management workflows

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in developing capital cost estimates for mining projects.
• Experience with mining project estimates across multiple commodities.
• Strong MS Excel skills and advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to present estimates to Owners, Auditors, and peer reviewers.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-cycle capital cost estimates from concept to definitive based on project scope.
• Benchmark and calibrate unit rates using first principles and contractor data.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure timely deliverables.
• Maintain and improve estimating databases and coding structures (WBS, CRC).
• Support change management with DCNs and PCNs as needed.
