Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Channelview, TX seeks a Sr. Estimator (Mechanical/Civil/Structural) to support large-scale industrial EPC and data center projects in the Houston area. Onsite role with minimal travel, 40–45 hours weekly, Monday–Friday.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of industrial estimating experience with piping, strong civil/structural knowledge, and proficiency in Trimble Accubid and Excel. You will develop pricing for various contract types and work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years experience in lieu of degree.
10+ years estimating experience in industrial construction with piping emphasis.
Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometrics, civil drawings, and structural plans.
Experience with EPC or design-build project delivery preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil, structural, and mechanical scopes with emphasis on piping.
Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment pricing.
Review drawings, specs, and scope documents for accuracy.
Collaborate with PM, engineering, and construction teams to validate assumptions.
Develop pricing for lump sum, unit rate, and time-and-materials proposals.
Create construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
Analyze subcontractor/vendor quotes and ensure alignment with scope.
Identify risks, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities.
Support bid reviews, reconciliations, and handoffs.
Maintain estimating databases and productivity benchmarks.
