Job summary

Soaring Towers, a premier custom luxury residential construction firm in New Jersey, seeks an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to own the numbers for high-end homes, additions, and major renovations. You will work directly with homeowners, architects, designers, and vendors, ensuring accuracy, profitability, and clear cost guidance throughout planning and contracting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of residential construction estimating experience.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specs.
• Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets and estimating software.
• Experience crafting complete estimates from plans and specs.
• Strong communication of cost drivers to homeowners.
• Knowledge of margins, contingencies, and project profitability.
• Experience negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete estimates for custom homes, additions, and renovations.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions to build budgets.
• Solicit and compare subcontractor pricing; ensure bid coverage.
• Identify scope gaps and pricing risks; develop smart alternatives.
• Explain costs clearly to clients and walk through design decisions.
• Handoff estimates to Project Manager with clear scope and pricing.
