Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a commercially driven estimator to lead and manage estimates for a broad range of commercial construction projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will prepare accurate estimates through the tender process, perform quantity take-offs, and analyze bids while coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Strong experience in hard-bid, design-build, and conceptual estimating.
• Knowledge of construction systems including mechanical and electrical.
• Experience with self-performed concrete construction.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and deliver accurate work under pressure.
• Degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage estimates for a range of commercial projects.
• Prepare accurate estimates and supporting information from enquiry to tender.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs, pricing, and bid analysis.
• Develop estimates across conceptual to construction document stages.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for pricing.
• Assess bids and ensure competitive pricing.
• Identify value engineering and life-cycle cost opportunities.
• Provide leadership through the pre-construction process.
• Prepare bid proposals and project schedules.
• Develop schematic plans to illustrate project approach.
• Lead estimating-related projects and initiatives.
