Job summary

Matrix Service Company seeks a Chief Estimator to lead the estimating team company-wide, driving continuous improvement of software and processes for multi-discipline EPFC estimates and proposals. The role mentors professionals, supports project cost control, and coordinates with BD, PM, and engineering to ensure accurate, timely bids.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in estimating with 5+ in management, strong contract knowledge, and proven leadership in heavy industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• 10+ years' estimating/cost-monitoring experience, with 5+ years in management.
• Familiarity with Lump Sum and Time & Materials contracts.
• Ability to visualize finished products from drawings and docs.
• Strong estimating techniques and cost control knowledge.
• Experience leading multi-discipline teams on heavy industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the estimating team company-wide.
• Develop and improve estimating processes and historical data usage.
• Oversee estimates and proposals for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Project Management and Engineering.
• Prepare and present estimates to stakeholders.
• Ensure estimates align with execution plans and project risks.
