Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator in Jessup, MD to lead development of comprehensive project estimates and bids for large-scale construction. The role emphasizes cost control, detailed risk assessment, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure profitable, on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction estimation and project management, with strong negotiation skills and proficiency in AutoCAD. On-site duties and limited MD/DC/VA travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in construction estimation, project management, and planning.
• Proven negotiation, contract negotiation, and cost control experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD with project bidding and RFI responses.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management or civil engineering; advanced degrees a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive project estimates, budgets, and bids.
• Conduct detailed risk and contract reviews to ensure accurate estimates.
• Coordinate with project teams for accurate estimations and smooth execution.
• Utilize AutoCAD to create and review project designs and plans.
• Lead project bidding activities and prepare competitive bids.
• Respond to RFIs and manage stakeholder communication.
• Apply cost-control strategies to ensure profitability.
• Negotiate favorable terms in contracts and procurement activities.
• Collaborate across departments to align project plans with objectives.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and costs for accurate estimates.
