Job summary

Jobot in Baltimore, MD seeks a Lead Estimator to manage multifamily and commercial project estimates from concept through final pricing. You will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and the operations team to ensure accurate takeoffs and competitive bids.

Responsibilities include defining trade scopes, evaluating cost risks, and guiding pricing decisions across budgets and proposals, while leveraging Excel, MS Project, and estimating software.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience preparing construction estimates and project budgets.
• 5-7 years of experience completing material quantity takeoffs.
• Able to interpret plans, specs and supporting documents.
• Experience managing conceptual pricing, negotiated estimates and bids.
• Experience defining trade scopes, obtaining subcontractor proposals and pricing comparisons.
• Identify scope omissions, cost risks and construction challenges.
• Knowledge of historical costs, unit pricing and value engineering.
• Document estimate assumptions, allowances, exclusions and pricing alternatives.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and operations teams.
• Manage concurrent estimating deadlines and clearly communicate budgets.
