Job summary

A leading general contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator in Rockville, Maryland. This role involves collaboration with the Director of Estimating, writing scopes, performing takeoff, and mentoring the estimating team. Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of experience in estimating within the construction industry, strong communication and organizational skills, and advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with construction software is preferred.

Qualifications

• A minimum of seven (7) years of estimating experience for a general contractor or subcontractor.
• Must possess strong communication skills.
• Must have strong organizational and math skills.
• Must have extensive knowledge of the construction industry.
• Must understand the processes and sequencing of construction.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Director of Estimating on proposals.
• Write scopes and perform takeoff.
• Manage scope/communication with subcontractors.
• Lead coordination efforts with the estimating team.
• Help mentor the team.
