Job summary

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Estimator to join an established commercial general contractor. This role emphasizes detailed estimating and preconstruction involvement for projects typically in the $15M–$20M range, rather than relying on a large estimating team.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans and specs, leading the bidding process from pricing through final estimate, and developing subcontractor and supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods and pricing.
• Experience with multifamily, hospitality, medical office or general commercial projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of masonry, block and plank and precast construction.
• Must be self-sufficient, hands-on and comfortable working independently.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate estimates for commercial construction projects, typically $15M-$20M.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes and subcontractor proposals.
• Lead the bidding and preconstruction process from initial pricing through final estimate.
• Develop and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships.
• Assist with value engineering, scope review and cost analysis.
• Work closely with project management and operations teams.
