Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the estimating process for commercial construction projects in Chicago. The role focuses on accurate cost evaluation, takingoffs, and budgeting to support pre-construction and bids.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), 5+ years in commercial construction estimating, and strong proficiency in estimating software and MS Office. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Five+ years in commercial construction estimating or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in construction cost estimating software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost estimating efforts for pre-construction and bidding phases.
• Review project documents, specifications, and drawings to identify scope, risks, and cost impacts.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, cost analyses, and project budgets.
• Collaborate with project leadership, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain and evaluate bids.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and recommend cost-effective alternatives.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost information, and project benchmarks.
• Support proposal preparation and participate in client presentations as needed.
