Job summary

Brightcore Energy is seeking a Sr. Estimator to analyze project specs and drawings, prepare detailed cost estimates, and collaborate with site teams. The role requires a strong civil/site construction background and expert estimating techniques.

You will use HeavyBid/Bluebeam to assemble bids, conduct thorough cost research, and present proposals to project managers and owners. Overtime may apply as needed for bids and scope changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CM or related field.
• 10+ years in industrial construction estimating.
• 5+ years takeoff and complete pricing experience.
• Experience with site/civil ground-up construction.
• Proficient in HeavyBid, Blue Beam, Excel, Word.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Strong research and cost-analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze specs and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates.
• Estimate construction costs based on technical requirements and scope.
• Collect data on materials, labor, and equipment costs.
• Identify cost uncertainties and update costing models.
• Collaborate with site teams to gather estimating info.
• Prepare detailed estimates using HeavyBid and Blue Beam.
• Conduct material and labor research to support bids.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects.
• Communicate work product to Director of Estimating.
• Interact with owners, engineers, subs, and vendors as needed.
• Assemble bid packages and proposals for procurement.
• Support value engineering to optimize project costs.
