Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced Senior Estimator to develop and coordinate large, multi‑discipline cost estimates and construction schedules for complex infrastructure projects worldwide.

You will lead teams of discipline estimators, coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction inputs, and collaborate with design teams to ensure accurate, defensible estimates and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Experience with hydroelectric generation, substations, power systems, utility infrastructure, transmission, distribution, or electrical balance‑of‑plant projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi‑discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate reports and labor plans.
• Support procurement, change orders, and claims valuation.
• Interact with clients and stakeholders to ensure estimate defensibility.
