Job summary

Qualus seeks a Senior Estimator to support transmission and distribution projects within our Power & Utilities practice. The role requires extensive electrical utility estimating experience, preparing labor and material cost estimates, and collaborating with project management on bids.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 7+ years in high voltage estimating, with InEight experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of tangible experience in high voltage estimating
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field (or combination of education and experience)

Responsibilities

• Estimate projects per policies with oversight while learning estimating practices and processes
• Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents
• Attend customer pre-bid meetings
• Identify labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents
• Prepare complete labor and material cost estimates
• Coordinate with project management
• Prepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasing
• Determine constructability requirements via field walk-downs with customer, subcontractor, and construction personnel
