Atkinson in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced Estimator/Preconstruction professional to join our team. You will analyze drawings, solicit bids, prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for heavy civil projects, and lead portions of multi-discipline estimates.

This role requires 7+ years of related experience, an undergraduate engineering or construction degree, and proficiency with HCSS Estimating, Takeoff, Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, and AGTek.

Formación

• 7+ years of engineering, estimating, construction management, general management, or field engineering experience in heavy civil construction.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• HCSS Estimating software experience and proficiency with Takeoff, Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, and AGTek.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior when representing the Company.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
• Lead or perform portions of estimates for multi-discipline projects and supervise other estimators.
• Solicit subcontractor and/or vendor quotes and evaluate them for scope and qualifications.
• Lead meetings with subcontractors to develop complete scopes and discuss strategy.
• Perform risk and contract management responsibilities on bids.
• Assist in developing a strategy to achieve minority participation requirements.
• Review total estimate for accuracy and completeness prior to quotation.
• Monitor comparison of estimated costs to actual costs.
• Promote continuous improvement in estimating methods.
