Railroad Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a motivated estimator to join our Estimating Department in the Greater Boston/New England region. You will analyze project documents, review plans, perform quantity take-offs, and prepare bid proposals to support profitable bids.

This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with owners, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors while visiting project sites to evaluate methods and progress.

Responsibilities

• Analyze project documents for risk, schedule, and profitability.
• Review plans/specs and prepare complete, accurate bid proposals.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, subcontractors, and crews.
• Compare current bids to historical data and manage post-bid documentation.
• Build and manage project budgets and documentation.
• Communicate with owners, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Visit project sites to evaluate methods and progress.
