gpac LLC. is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join its growing preconstruction team in Grand Rapids, MI.

The role focuses on developing accurate ground-up estimates from initial review to final bid, with responsibility for managing multiple bids concurrently and coordinating with subcontractors and project teams. Candidates should have 5+ years of estimating ground-up commercial projects, strong knowledge of construction methods, and proficiency with Bluebeam and

Formación

• 5+ years of estimating experience on ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Demonstrated ability to develop complete project estimates from start to finish.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and contracts.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and GC.
• Experience soliciting, evaluating, and leveling subcontractor proposals.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple active bids and deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare conceptual, negotiated, and competitive bid estimates for ground-up projects.
• Manage estimating process from review through final bid submission.
• Review drawings, specs and contract documents for full project scope across trades.
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, equipment, and GC.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Identify scope gaps and ensure bid coverage across trades.
• Maintain bid schedules; manage 2–3+ projects concurrently.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when needed.
• Partner with Project Managers during preconstruction and planning.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure estimates meet bidding procedures and accuracy standards.
