Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial construction projects. The role involves collaborating with subcontractors, vendors, Project Managers, and leadership during bidding and preconstruction.

You will review plans, perform quantity takeoffs, solicit bids, analyze costs, and help identify risks and savings opportunities. Strong communication and software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Proficiency with estimating software preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review construction plans, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop project estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor proposals.
• Prepare competitive bids and proposals.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and potential project risks.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project budgets.
• Coordinate with Project Management and Operations teams during project turnover.
• Meet bid deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
