Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare detailed environmental remediation and heavy civil project estimates. You will analyze plans, geotechnical data, and bid documents to develop accurate takeoffs, pricing, and cost models for complex sites nationwide.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years of estimating experience in environmental remediation and heavy civil work, with a strong background in soil excavation, site development, and solar-related civil scopes.

Qualifications

• 20+ years of estimating experience in environmental remediation and heavy civil sectors.
• Strong background in contaminated soil excavation and environmental cleanup projects.
• Experience estimating excavation, grading, earthwork, and site development.
• Knowledge of soil stabilization, shoring, sheet piling, and support of excavation systems.
• Experience supporting civil scopes for solar developments and utility installation.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to create detailed, traceable, defensible estimates.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for environmental remediation and heavy civil projects.
• Analyze plans, specs, geotechnical reports, and bid documents.
• Develop takeoffs, pricing strategies, and cost models.
• Price excavation and site development scopes for large projects.
• Review subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify risks and opportunities during bids.
• Improve estimating documentation and cost transparency.
• Support leadership with pricing strategy and pursuit decisions.
• Collaborate with operations teams to develop executable budgets.
