Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking a seasoned Commercial Construction Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for waterproofing, restoration, and building envelope projects. You will manage bids from invitation through proposal, coordinating with operations, vendors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing.

The role requires five years of commercial estimating experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating commercial waterproofing, concrete restoration, façade restoration, building envelope, masonry restoration, or related scopes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of contracts, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and construction documentation.
• Strong analytical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review bid invitations, plans, specifications, addenda, and contract documents.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates.
• Prepare competitive proposals for restoration and waterproofing projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, vendors, and clients on pricing and scope.
• Identify risks, exclusions, and value engineering opportunities.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Support business development with bidding opportunities and client presentations.
