Job summary

Valcourt is seeking a Full-Time Estimator for their Tampa location. The role requires strong expertise in managing estimates from start to finish, collaborating with clients, vendors, and various construction professionals to solve issues and ensure accurate proposals.

Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related experience in construction, along with skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift 15 pounds and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Experience in construction services, contract award and buy-out.
• Familiarity with industry practices, materials, and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Work with estimators and managers on understanding the scope of work.
• Perform quantity takeoff surveys and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Analyze proposals and determine scope of work for cost estimates.
• Consult with clients and vendors to formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Maintain the directory of manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate efforts with project managers to develop work crews.

Skills

Specific experience in waterproofing, masonry and concrete repair/restoration

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Attention to detail

Ability to function well in a high-paced environment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field

At least five years of related experience
