Job summary

Summit Line Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates for complex electrical infrastructure projects. You will mentor junior estimators, coordinate with project managers and clients, and ensure competitive bids.

Based in the Las Vegas area, you will analyze plans, manage cost databases, and oversee bid preparation while upholding company standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction cost estimating for electrical infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Extensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans and specs to define scope and cost drivers.
• Prepare and oversee detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subs.
• Lead bid reviews, communicate with clients, and define scope letters and vendor requests.
• Mentor junior estimators and support the estimating team’s development.
• Ensure estimates align with company standards and client expectations.
• Maintain cost databases and analyze historical performance for improvements.
• Manage change orders and cost-to-complete estimates for ongoing projects.
