Overview

The Senior Electrical Estimator develops accurate, detailed construction cost estimates for all electrical trades at all project design stages. The role involves leading and training team members, following preconstruction standards and processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing detailed electrical construction cost estimates at various design stages.
2. Clarifying scope of work and identifying risk items.
3. Assisting with resource management, process development, and estimate reviews.
4. Contributing to cost savings, bid packages, and project budgets.
5. Managing relationships with subcontractors and vendors.
6. Collaborating with project teams, designers, and clients.
7. Monitoring market trends and participating in software development.
8. Leading and training estimating personnel.
9. Traveling as needed, 10-20%.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of estimating experience, or 15 years relevant industry experience.
• Experience in electrical estimating, knowledge of electrical codes, and ability to read P&ID’s.
• Experience in Water/Wastewater and Industrial markets.
• Proficiency with estimating software like Trimble Accubid, Beck Destini Estimator, and on-screen takeoff software such as Trimble Livecount.
• Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
• Experience with Design-Build and CMAR project delivery methods.
• Revit/Navisworks experience is a plus.
