Job summary

gpac in Missoula, MT is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our Commercial General Contractor team. You will review plans, perform takeoffs, and develop accurate estimates from the ground up, ensuring alignment with client goals and project budgets.

You will collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and owners to gather information, price work, and identify risks early, enabling value engineering and profitable decisions for complex construction projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Construction Estimator in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong knowledge of construction principles, safety standards, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project scope and develop accurate estimates.
• Perform takeoffs, identify labor and material requirements, and uncover scope gaps.
• Analyze costs, compare subcontractor proposals, and develop pricing.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and owners.
• Balance project vision, constructability, and budget to deliver value.
• Identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Support value engineering and help meet project goals.
• Coordinate with estimators and project managers for complete scopes.
