Qualifications

• 5+ years in the construction industry
• Extensive knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware
• Knowledge of access control and its integration with door hardware
• DHI Certifications (AHC, CDC, EHC, AOC) desired
• Experience in project estimating and familiarity with construction drawings & specifications
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PDF tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vendors and purchasing agents to obtain cost-effective pricing
• Review architectural drawings and specifications
• Apply knowledge of building codes, life safety, and accessibility
• Provide a takeoff using a systematic, detailed process
• Create proposals and offer value engineering opportunities
• Direct communication with customers via phone, email, or site visits
• Meet bid dates and deadlines
• Follow up, negotiate, and close bid projects
• Provide rough openings as required
• Build long-term relationships with customers for growth
