Senior Estimator – Cost & Value Engineering Leader

Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to support conceptual and hard bid estimates across development, construction and property management. You will generate unit price data, price various trades, and communicate budgets and schedules to project managers.

Responsibilities include subcontract bid analysis, cost analysis to clients, and maintaining job cost histories. A Bachelor’s in construction or related field or equivalent experience is required; 10+ years estimating is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction related field; non-degreed candidates must demonstrate broad practical experience in construction and/or facilities.
• 10+ years of estimating experience.
• Experience with conceptual estimating and lump-sum bid estimating.
• Must be able to estimate various trades and solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids.
• Ability to take-off and price various trade work.
• Must have experience creating construction project budgets.
• Working knowledge of Windows-based software including Microsoft Project, Excel and Word; estimating and project management software experience in Procore is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traditional plan/spec hard-dollar estimates/bids.
• Generate conceptual estimates with detailed scope description and unit price breakdown.
• Generate and maintain in-house unit price data for all components of work and various regions of the country.
• Assist Project Manager with subcontract award and bid analysis.
• Written and verbal presentation skills.
• Communicate budgets and schedules with clients and Project Managers.
• Create and maintain relationships with subcontractor community.
• Provide cost analysis to the client in the form of value-engineering and alternates.
• Clearly communicate budget, schedule, and other major issues to the Project Manager.
• Work with the project executive to establish project GMPs.
• Maintain job cost history analysis to provide cost data for future projects.
• Manage paperwork requirements of bidding and proposals.
• Take part in marketing proposals and presentations.
