Job summary

Turner & Townsend in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking an experienced Estimator/Cost Manager to act as the key client interface on large, mission-critical construction programs. You will deliver disciplined, value-added commercial and cost management services across complex, schedule-driven projects.

The role requires client-facing confidence, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with integrated project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction/engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in cost management or quantity surveying in construction.
• Experience on medium to large, complex projects.
• RICS accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary day-to-day commercial interface with the client during design and construction.
• Provide cost planning, estimating, and forecasting services, including presenting cost plans at milestones.
• Establish robust cost control, change management, and commercial governance processes.
• Estimate, review, negotiate, and manage change orders throughout the lifecycle.
• Review contractor pricing for accuracy and value, leading negotiations as needed.
• Manage contingency, cost-to-complete forecasting, and cost variance analysis.
• Prepare funding data and executive cost presentations for stakeholders.
