Job summary

Kent Companies is seeking an Estimator to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects by applying specialized estimating methods and to assemble bid proposals while following up with clients to secure contracts. Duties include information management, relationship building with stakeholders, subcontractor pricing, project take-offs, and post‑bid discussions.

A bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of concrete estimating with leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field, or 5+ years of concrete estimating with leadership.
• Proven experience in concrete preconstruction and estimating.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• English and Spanish preferred; ability to pass drug screening.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
• Assemble bid proposals and follow up with clients to secure contracts.
• Manage information flow and secure bid tabs for market tracking.
• Develop relationships with prospects, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Perform project take-offs and develop complete estimates including contingencies.
• Review subcontractor and supplier pricing; coordinate with preconstruction team.
• Participate in post-bid interviews and track opportunities.
