Job summary

An established specialty contractor in Florida is seeking an experienced Estimator with a background in commercial doors, frames and hardware. You will own the estimating process, prepare detailed takeoffs, and develop competitive bid proposals for the Florida operation.

Role requires strong Comsense and Division 08 experience and the ability to work with a wider pre-construction team in Texas, while managing multiple bids with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Five+ years estimating experience in Division 08 and commercial doors/frames/hardware.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specs, addenda and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Comsense for pricing and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, addenda to establish project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for doors, frames, hardware and related products.
• Develop hardware schedules and pricing using Comsense.
• Obtain supplier quotations for material costs.
• Estimate installation labor and project costs.
• Prepare competitive bid proposals with clear inclusions/exclusions.
• Submit bids to general contractors and track tender outcomes.
• Maintain bid records and cost data.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and alternate products.
• Coordinate with project management to ensure proper handover.
