Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Estimator specializing in heavy civil structures to join our team in Salt Lake City. This role focuses on leading the estimation process for complex bridge and transportation projects and requires expertise across multiple delivery methods.

You will collaborate with project teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates and mentor junior staff while building strong client and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in construction estimation.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structures estimation process for a diverse portfolio of complex construction projects.
• Utilize Design Build (D/B), CMAR, CMGC, hard bid, and Progressive design-build methodologies to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
• Prepare and present detailed cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for materials, labor, equipment, and schedules.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and architects to navigate design and construction challenges.
• Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
• Mentor and guide junior estimators, contributing to their professional growth and development.
