Job summary

DHH CONSTRUCTION INC. in Cheltenham, PA, is seeking a Senior Estimator for a full-time hybrid role in the Greater Philadelphia area.

You will prepare detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial projects, perform quantity takeoffs, price labor and materials, and solicit subcontractor quotations. You will review drawings and specs, assess project scope and risk, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to deliver accurate, competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Strong estimating and cost analysis skills for construction projects, including quantity takeoffs and bid preparation.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts with high attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Several years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in a senior or lead capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including quantity takeoffs, labor and material pricing, subcontractor quotations, and bid proposals.
• Review drawings and specifications, analyze project scope, assess risk, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure accurate estimates.
• Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and budgeting for new bids and change orders.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating processes, maintain cost databases, and clearly communicate estimate assumptions and results to leadership.
