Job summary

Green Key Resources in Pennsylvania is seeking an Estimator with 3–5 years of commercial construction experience to support accurate, competitive bids across a variety of projects. You will review drawings, specs, and bid documents to understand scope and perform quantity takeoffs to develop detailed estimates.

You will solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals, identify risks and value-engineering opportunities, and assist with bid packages, budgets, and submissions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience with a general contractor or construction manager.
• Experience estimating commercial, industrial, institutional, or similar projects.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building systems.
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software; Bluebeam experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to understand project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, potential risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Assist with bid preparation, scope sheets, budgets, and proposal submissions.
• Maintain organized subcontractor pricing and historical cost information.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project turnover meetings.
• Coordinate with senior estimators, project managers, and field personnel.
