Job summary

GH Engage is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Florida to develop accurate and competitive estimates for commercial HVAC/mechanical projects. You will collaborate with project management, general contractors, subcontractors and vendors from bid through handover.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, performing takeoffs, preparing bid packages, and ensuring complete coverage of bid requirements with a focus on cost accuracy and margins.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC, piping and duct systems.
• Ability to read plans, specifications, RFIs and addenda.
• Experience with mechanical estimating software (FastPIPE, QuickPen or similar).
• Strong understanding of project costs, margins and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent communication, organization and attention to detail.

• Complete bid-day analysis and scope reviews.
• Work closely with Project Management to ensure successful turnover of awarded projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with GCs, subcontractors and vendors.

This position will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive estimates across commercial HVAC/mechanical projects, working closely with project management, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors from initial bid through project handover.
