SENIOR ESTIMATOR – San Antonio, Texas

We have an exciting opening for a Senior Estimator. The ideal candidate will possess a background in large tilt-wall projects in the San Antonio area.

ALL ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

The Senior Estimator coordinates with the Vice President of Estimating or project estimating manager in assigning project responsibilities to Estimating/Pre-construction Staff, including preparing a Project Team Assignment Sheet. They plan and communicate project goals during a kick-off meeting using a prepared agenda based on the Project Kick-off Meeting Checklist.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

1. Quantify, analyze, and communicate detailed project programs during a project kick-off meeting.
2. Prepare agendas for all project team meetings and adhere to them.
3. Distribute project documents and vital information to team members and external resources.
4. Review, interpret, and estimate project costs based on project documents.
5. Identify and mitigate project-related risks.
6. Coordinate with the estimating team to ensure timely task completion.
7. Collaborate with Logistics and Mechanical Electrical Managers to meet project goals.
8. Analyze subcontractor/vendor budgets, bids, or quotations.
9. Review and verify scope of work and pricing of project team members when acting as lead estimator.
10. Use standard templates for estimates, bid analysis, and related tasks.
11. Present project scope, costs, risks, and opportunities to management.
12. Participate in proposal presentations to clients.
13. Coordinate project file delivery during turnover meetings.
14. Participate in the buyout process with operations.
15. Create professional reports and correspondence related to the position.
