Job summary

GH Engage is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead bids for manufacturing, power, and energy construction projects. You will work closely with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to develop accurate, competitive proposals and detailed cost plans.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering/Construction Management background with 7+ years of estimating experience, proficiency in MS Office and estimating software, and a collaborative, results-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • 7+ years estimating experience.
  • Experience within manufacturing, power, energy, industrial, or complex commercial construction is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

  • Review drawings, specifications, and pre-bid information to understand project scope and estimating requirements.
  • Develop detailed trade scopes of work and supporting documentation for each estimate.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure pricing is accurate and aligned with project requirements.
  • Develop alternative solutions and value-engineering options based on cost, quality, engineering, and materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with owners, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Support operations on awarded projects, including pricing change orders and resolving contract and cost-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the proposal team to develop complete, professional proposals, schedules, narratives, org charts, and supporting documentation.
  • Develop conceptual estimates and proposals to support business development and early-stage opportunities.
  • Negotiate subcontractor agreements and issue subcontracts in line with project requirements.

Estimator – Manufacturing, Power & Energy Construction

We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to take the lead on bids and proposals for our manufacturing, power, and energy construction projects.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using preconstruction and estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of estimating methodologies, cost control, and conceptual estimating.
  • Ability to develop accurate and comprehensive proposals with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and project requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of estimating experience.
  • Experience within manufacturing, power, energy, industrial, or complex commercial construction is highly desirable.
