Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator for its PCI Knoxville 144 operations based in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities include preparing RFPs, evaluating subcontractor quotes, developing customer relationships, and coordinating with owners, managers, architects and engineers. The position offers a salary range of $94,000–$126,000 annually with a non-guaranteed annual bonus program and is safety-sensitive.

Qualifications

• Must have 5-7 years’ experience estimating construction projects.
• Must have 10 years of total experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with estimating or managing specialty scopes of construction.
• Strong ability to read, understand, and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work, specifications, materials, and methods.
• Has a record of establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills.
• Possess a high level of attention to detail and cost analysis skills.
• Ability to accurately read project schedules to determine sequencing and durations of scopes of work.
• Proficiency with computer takeoff and estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quick Bid.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word), Bluebeam Revu, Procore, or PlanSwift.
• Ability to work effectively both in a collaborative team environment and independently.
• Has capacity and willingness to expand upon or acquire new knowledge about product lines/scopes.
• Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
