Job summary

Jobot in Florida is seeking a Senior Estimator with multi-trade experience to join our construction team on the East Coast. In this permanent, full‑time role you will prepare detailed cost estimates, review plans and specs, evaluate bids, and collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure budgets are met.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in multi‑trade construction estimating, a related degree, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review plans, specs, and contract documents to create accurate estimates.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to meet budget and specs.
• Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers and contractors to resolve issues.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify cost overruns and mitigation strategies.
• Present estimates to clients and stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Stay updated on industry trends and estimating software advancements.
• Participate in project meetings and report on cost status.

Established GC searching for Sr Estimator with multi-trade experience to join team on East Coast!

Salary: $130,000 - $150,000 per year. This is a permanent, full‑time position. Location: East Coast (Florida).

Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs.
2. Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents to create accurate and comprehensive estimates.
3. Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirements.
4. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve any potential issues or discrepancies in the project plans and estimates.
5. Conduct risk analysis to identify potential cost overruns and provide mitigation strategies.
6. Present and explain project estimates to clients and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
7. Keep up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements in construction estimating techniques and software.
8. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budget status.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on multi trade estimating.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry trends.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain complex information to a variety of audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
