Job summary

iRiS Recruiting Solutions in Dayton, OH, is seeking a Senior Estimator in Commercial Construction. You will own the estimating process from early conceptual budgeting through final bid submission, and you will lead the estimating team across multiple projects.

This role requires 5+ years of experience, strong budgeting and takeoff skills, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors, project teams and clients to craft winning, prepared proposals.

We’re looking for a Senior Estimator capable of taking ownership of the estimating process, from early conceptual budgeting through final bid submission. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than prepare estimates – you’ll help develop bid strategies, coordinate estimating teams, evaluate project risk, and collaborate with operations.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, preferably with a general contractor
• Experience leading estimates and coordinating bid teams
• Strong conceptual budgeting, quantity takeoff, and scope review capabilities
• Understanding of subcontractor procurement, value engineering, and construction methods
• Ability to manage deadlines and deliver accurate estimates
• Strong communication skills working alongside project teams and clients
