Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator in the Atlanta/Duluth area to lead full-cycle estimating for commercial construction projects, from conceptual budgets to GMP and final bids.

The role requires 7+ years in estimating, experience with ground-up or large-scale interior renovations, and a strong understanding of GMP structures. You will collaborate with operations, ownership, and subcontractors to drive successful bids and project turnovers.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience with ground-up commercial and/or large-scale interior renovation projects is preferred.
• Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, hard bids, negotiated work, and GMP structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle estimating for commercial construction projects from conceptual budgets to GMP and final bid.
• Analyze drawings, specs, subcontractor pricing, and project documentation.
• Develop and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships in the Southeast market.
• Partner with project management during turnover and preconstruction phases.
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to process improvements.

This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys leading estimates from conceptual budgeting through GMP and final bid, while partnering closely with operations, ownership groups, subcontractors, and leadership teams.

Job Details

• Lead full-cycle estimating efforts for commercial construction projects ranging from tenant improvements to large ground-up developments
• Prepare conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, quantity takeoffs, bid packages, and GM proposals
• Analyze drawings, specifications, subcontractor pricing, and project documentation
• Develop and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships throughout the Southeast market
• Partner closely with project management and operations teams during turnover and preconstruction phases
• Participate in scope reviews, value engineering, constructability reviews, and procurement strategy discussions
• Assist with project scheduling, logistics planning, and preconstruction coordination
• Support multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced commercial construction environment
• Mentor junior estimators and assist with process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience with ground-up commercial and/or large-scale interior renovation projects
• Background within industrial, retail, office, healthcare, or mixed commercial sectors preferred
• Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, hard bids, negotiated work, and GMP structures
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings/specifications
